Please join us on Thursday evening, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. for “Navigating Diversity and Inclusion with our Children” presented by Elisabeth “Biz” Lindsay-Ryan. Register by emailing email@example.com. Parents need to be able to navigate what living in a diverse community means on a regular basis. Each type of diversity brings unique challenges for parents. Every family brings a different perspective to this conversation and we want to create a welcoming environment for children from all types of families through greater parent awareness. Parents need to understand how to affirm and support this exploration. The conversation will include understanding our perspectives and how these may impact our children. This session will ground parents’ experiences in research and begin a productive dialogue about the challenges of navigating race, gender, ability, family structure, faith and other forms of difference that will benefit the entire community.
