Cherry Preschool is a preschool in Evanston that offers early childhood education programs for children aged 2 to 5, including Pre-K, STEM, Dual Language English/Spanish and Extended Day.

Registration for the 2024-25 school year took place in January. Open spaces are currently being filled on a rolling basis.

Cherry is excited to announce our new Ready, Set, Go! program for the 2024-25 school year. Prepare your student for kindergarten with an extended day of play activities and enrichment programs focusing on literacy, math and science.

We are a diverse school community in which children learn to value and respect themselves and others. Children should be proud of themselves and their heritage, challenge bias or unfairness when they encounter it, and feel at home in our diverse world.

All of the students at Cherry benefit from having the opportunity to learn together and from one another regardless of ability. Cherry’s Inclusion Program is available to children who require additional support in the classroom from their own dedicated inclusion aid.

We are a dedicated group of educators and parents working together to create a caring community within our classrooms and throughout our preschool. Our families are committed to donating their time, energy, and talent toward making Cherry Preschool a special place for all.
We learn through play
Cherry teachers plan open-ended, play-based activities and experiences to stimulate and challenge children to progress developmentally. Teachers provide children opportunities to interact with materials and construct knowledge about their world.

Cherry Preschool will be closed for a teacher in-service. Families are invited to story hour at Synapse Pediatric Therapy from 11am – 12pm. RSVP to the office to attend.

The Cherry Blog aims to provide parents with information related to our early childhood education programs. Topics include child development, play-based learning, STEM activities for preschoolers, diverse books for preschoolers, teaching children with developmental delays, kindergarten readiness skills and inclusion, as well as other areas of interest to our parents and community.
